Charlie Mallon

Originally trained as a blacksmith at Hereford College, Charlie has been casting metal in his workshop in rural Co Tyrone for 15 years. He has created pieces for a diverse range of projects including Chelsea Flower Show for Diarmuid Gavin, Terence Conran and Titanic Belfast.

His talent led him to bronze casting and a connection to the land and it's beautiful stories meant the birth of the Bronze Legends.

A material of war and art, bronze has been used to depict life, spirit and worship. The rich tapestry of Irish history bestows beautiful examples of that artistic expression.  Tradition and myth are woven to create bronze pieces that reach back into history and storytelling and connect us to themes that are still relevant.
